One minor injury was reported Friday in a predawn wreck involving a MARTA police cruiser and a sport utility vehicle that sent the SUV into the side of a downtown building.

The wreck happened just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of Spring and Mitchell streets, according to Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones.

The SUV jumped the curb and hit the side of a law office across from the Russell Federal Building, but caused no apparent structural damage.

Jones said one person complained of arm pain after the crash.
