While much of metro Atlanta was hunkered down during the snowstorm, Conyers police say a man held up a CVS with a semi-auto handgun.

There were three employees in the Highway 20 drugstore when the man, described as 6-feet tall with a thin build, entered, police said. The suspect brandished the weapon, demanded money and was last seen on foot running East, according to a news release from police. Multiple footprints in the snow and ice kept police from tracking the suspect further.

Police responding to the scene were delayed because of hazardous conditions. The tire chains on one of the responding cars broke, further delaying authorities.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket with fur around the hood, black ski mask, black pants, white gloves and white sneakers. Anyone with information on the robbery should call Crime Stoppers at 404 577-8477 or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.
