Authorities are seeking the public’s help to find an elderly couple last seen traveling to visit relatives in Elijay.

The GBI issued a Mattie’s Call for Willie Billiot, 83, and Demetrius, 77, who left Rome at noon on Saturday heading to Blueridge.

The Floyd County Police released photos of the missing couple from Port Sulfur, Louisiana on Sunday. The couple was last seen in a 2006 white with gold Kia Sorento SUV, according to police.

They were last seen in the 400 block of Gill Rd. They are known to frequent Polk County. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued the ‘Matties Call,’ an alert system for missing elderly or disabled people on Sunday.

According to authorities, the couple are in poor health with reported dementia and brain cancer.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Floyd County Police at 706-235-7766.
