Authorities were sweeping the FedEx facility in Kennesaw Tuesday after an unknown number of Molotov cocktails were found there, apparently left by a gunman who shot six co-workers and then took his life.

The sprawling facility has “a lot of nooks and crannies inside, a lot of conveyor belts,“ said Cobb County police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce, who said FBI officials are leading that part of the investigation. “We need to sweep, re sweep and sweep again to make sure the facility is safe.”

Pierce said the fatigue-clad, bandoleer-wearing gunman killed himself with a gunshot to the head relatively shortly after walking through the business, firing upon co-workers. The body has not been officially identified because of the nature of the wound.

Pierce said authorities “have an idea” of the motive, although he would not release it. He said investigators are talking with people who knew the man.
