Man shot dead at Stone Mountain apartment complex
A man was shot in the head at a party in Stone Mountain, and DeKalb County police were looking for the suspect Sunday.
“Some uninvited guests showed up, a fight ensued,” Lt. Joseph Artime told Channel 2 Action News. “We have one male subject shot in the head.”
The victim’s identity was not released.
The shooting occurred at Mountain Lake Apartment Homes off North Hairston Road.
A resident told Channel 2 the victim was visiting a party at the apartment complex where his aunt lived.
Two men were taken into custody while Channel 2 was on the scene. Witnesses said one of the two attacked an officer who tried to question him.
“They were there and being uncooperative at the time,” Artime said. Police told Channel 2 the men were witnesses.
