Man needs several surgeries after driver going 98 mph hit his truck head-on
A Fayette County man will need several surgeries before he’s able to walk again after an alleged wrong-way driver going nearly 100 mph hit his truck May 8, Channel 2 Action News reported.
William Betsill was driving home from work southbound on Ga. 85 when Georges Joseph, 26, hit him head-on while driving 98 mph, Channel 2 reported.
He was flown from the scene to Atlanta Medical Center with a shattered leg, broken ribs and multiple other injuries, Channel 2 reported.
Joseph died at the scene after being ejected from his Nissan Altima, authorities said. The impact of the crash caused his car's engine to fly out onto the street.

Katie Betsill, William’s wife, told the news station they’ll likely be without his income for months, but she’s just happy he’s alive.
“It’s just scary,” Betsill told Channel 2. “I’m just thankful he’s alive and that whatever happens, we can make it work, just as long as he’s alive.”
