A man was killed and two others, including a 14-year-old boy, were injured in a drive-by shooting in a parking lot on McDaniel Street Saturday night, according to authorities.

Donovan Thomas, 26, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he died of his injuries. The 14-year-old boy and another man, who police have not identified, were shot in the lower extremities. They are being treated at Grady and are expected to recovered from their injuries.

The shooting occurred in the 300 block of McDaniel Street, near Northside Drive, said Atlanta police spokesman Greg Lyon. It happened near a barbershop in the Castleberry Hill neighborhood, according to Channel 2 Action News. Police told Channel 2 the victims were outside a barbershop when the shooting happened, but police don’t believe the men were connected to the business.

Police were called to the location around 7:20 p.m. “Two adults and one juvenile were shot when they were fired upon from a vehicle as they were standing in the parking lot of the location,” Lyon said.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting Sunday, according to Lyon.
