Dallas police are looking for two men in connection with a fatal shooting near the Paulding Plaza Shopping Center on Saturday night.

A 41-year-old man staying at a motel was walking to a store at the shopping center on Merchant Drive around 9:30 p.m. when two men approached him, Dallas Police Sgt. Bill Gorman said.

The man was shot and taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where he died.

The man has been identified as James Hendon of Dallas, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Authorities said they don’t know whether the victim knew the men who shot him or why the confrontation happened.

Police do not have a complete description of the two men involved in the shooting.

The investigation is continuing.
