Oconee County authorities were on the lookout for a man dressed as a woman who allegedly robbed a Walmart early Sunday.

Sheriff's deputies said the armed cross dresser wore a camo jacket and carried a matching camo purse. He also wore a heart-shaped necklace when he entered and robbed a Walmart on Epps Bridge Road, according to a report in onlineathens.

“About 12:30 a.m. a tall male dressed as a female used a gun to commit armed robbery at the Walmart in Oconee County,” Chief Deputy Lee Weems said. The sheriff’s office issued an alert at about 1 a.m. that described the suspect as “a very tall, skinny black male who was dressed as a woman and wearing a wig. The suspect had on a camo jacket and was carrying a camo purse.”

No one was injured in the incident, police said. Read more of the story here.
