The kayakers camped overnight on Tybee Island and became stranded due to bad weather, the coast guard said in a news release.

Officials with the coast guard’s Charleston, South Carolina sector were notified of the kayakers about 4:25 p.m. Less than two hours later, a helicopter crew landed on Tybee Island and found the pair. They were taken to Hunter Army Airport.
