A man accused of killing a 68-year-old woman he allegedly robbed was arrested a week after being on the run, police said.

Sergio Moon, 30, is charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Monroe police said in a post on its Facebook page. He was arrested at a Norcross home.

Shortly before 2:45 p.m. on June 14, officers responded to an armed robbery call with a person being shot at an apartment in the 100 block of West Marable Street, Monroe police said.

“Upon arrival, officers discovered 68-year-old Linda O. Flint on the floor, bleeding profusely,” police said. “Ms. Flint was transported to Piedmont Walton Hospital where she later died.”

Details on what led to the shooting were not released.
The US Marshall's Office Task Force, Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office and the Walton County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest.
