A driver on Ga. 85 has died following a two-vehicle crash in Fayette County.

A Fayette County sheriff’s office spokesman said a Nissan Altima traveling northbound crossed the center line and hit a Ford pickup truck traveling southbound head-on.

The driver of the Nissan died at the scene. The truck driver was flown to a hospital in Atlanta, authorities said.

Debris is being cleaned up and the highway is back open. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
