Fulton County's chief prosecutor is investigating the finances of Claud "Tex" McIver and the wife he shot and killed.

District Attorney Paul Howard served a half dozen subpoenas to companies that helped manage the couple's money.

The move shows the DA moving forward with his own investigation, apart from the findings of the Atlanta police. McIver's attorney said he believes the DA is intent on charging his client with murder. All this is happening as the McIver case stands before a Fulton County grand jury.
