A 6-year-old Gwinnett County boy died Saturday after being run over by his father's pickup truck, police said.
The boy, whose name has not been released, was in the back of his father's truck along with his 11-year-old brother, and while the father backed into a driveway in the 5000 block of Oak Grove Drive near Buford, the younger child jumped from the bed of the truck, Gwinnett police Sgt. Brian Doan said.

The boy was run over by the truck, which was towing a trailer, and later died from his injuries at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite.

The accident remains under investigation.
