Atlanta police are investigating a homicide after a man was found with a gunshot wound in a hotel room in northwest Atlanta, spokesman Officer Donald T. Hannah said.

The shooting happened at the InTown Suites at Piedmont Circle, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Hannah said police got a call about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday about a disturbance at the hotel in one of the rooms.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and later died.

It’s not yet clear if the man was shot inside the hotel room. The investigation is ongoing.
