Driver present during McIver shooting finally speaks
Dani Jo Carter was driving the SUV in which, Diane McIver, was shot and killed by Claud “Tex” McIver in September. McIver was a longtime friend of Diane McIver and says they were stopped at a traffic light when Tex McIver’s gun went off.

Nov 3, 2016The woman driving prominent Atlanta attorney Claud “Tex” McIver when he shot and killed his wife is finally speaking about the incident.
The account by Dani Jo Carter, a close friend of McIver's wife Diane, raises new questions as to exactly what happened in the Sept. 25 shooting. Her version of events includes a discrepancy with Tex McIver's early account, a discrepancy which focuses on the very moment the gun went off.
Tex McIver has said the shooting was accidental. Atlanta police continue to investigate and have offered few details.
