The Clayton County sheriff placed one of his deputies on administrative leave after seeing a videotape concerning the use of force by the deputy with an inmate on an elevator, according to a statement Friday.

Sheriff Victor Hill placed the unnamed deputy on leave pending an investigation by the GBI.

GBI spokeswoman Nelly Miles told Channel 2 Action News that the investigation request from Hill was received and her office is beginning the review process.
