The driver of a car that struck and killed a pedestrian trying to cross the west side of Buford Highway Connector at Sidney Marcus Boulevard was not injured nor charged.

The 22-year-old woman was traveling north on the connector around 9 p.m. and did not see the pedestrian who was not in a crosswalk when he was struck and in an area that was poorly lit, Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News. The pedestrian was dead at the scene with severe head injuries and trauma to his body.
