Atlanta firefighters and police responded to a car wreck on I-75 North that had one person entrapped for nearly 30 minutes, Atlanta police confirmed.

Atlanta police told Channel 2 Action News that they determined a vehicle struck a second vehicle, causing the second vehicle to flip. Both vehicles were traveling north on I-75 near West Paces Ferry Road.

The second vehicle, an SUV, was carrying four people, including the person that needed extrication, police said. Two people were taken to an area hospital with minor lacerations and bruises.

All I-75 North lanes have been reopened after previously being blocked for about 30 minutes, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

An investigation is ongoing.
