One man has been killed in an apartment shooting in Austell about 7 p.m. Wednesday, Cobb County police said. Another person was also injured, police spokeswoman Officer Alicia Chilton said. One person has been detained, but police are not sure if they were involved.
The incident happened on the 6900 block of Shenandoah Trail at the Windwood Apartments, Chilton said.
The victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and Atlanta Medical Center where one of them later died, Chilton said. The condition of the surviving victim was not given.
No other information was released.
