BREAKING: Man shot, killed in SW Atlanta
A man is dead after a shooting Tuesday morning in southwest Atlanta, officials said.
The fatal shooting happened at a home in the 800 block of Smith Street, Atlanta police told AJC.com.
Officers were sent to the house shortly before 10 a.m. and found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest, police spokesman Officer Anthony Grant said. The unidentified man died of his injuries.
Homicide investigators are en route to the scene of the shooting, Grant said. An investigation is ongoing.
