Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot in the head at an apartment complex in Forest Park on Wednesday morning.

Around 10:20 a.m., 23-year-old Davon Triplett of Forest Park was found shot at the A&H Apartments at 696 Hill Street, Forest Park police said in a news release.

Triplett was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries, the release said.

Chinequah Hawkins, 24, also of Forest Park, was arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct, the release said. She’s now in the custody of the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.

No other details have been released.

An investigation is ongoing.
