Fire crews investigating blaze at SW Atlanta tapas restaurant

Atlanta firefighters are investigating a blaze that caused damage to a restaurant in southwest Atlanta, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The fire broke out at the 255 Tapas Lounge on Peters Street, the news station reported. Atlanta fire officials received the call about 8 a.m.

The fire sent up a cloud of black smoke over southwest Atlanta and caused “significant fire damage” to the tapas restaurant, Channel 2 reported. Fire officials said the flames spread from the lounge to a seafood restaurant next door and caused exposure damage, the news station reported.

It is unclear how the fire started.
