A child’s touching request in a letter to Santa has gone viral.

Eight-year-old Ryan Suffern decided against toys and treats. He wanted one thing for Christmas, he wrote: Stop the kids at school from bullying his twin sister.

“Dear Santa … Kid at school are still picking on Amber and its not fair because she doesnt do anything to them … ,” Ryan wrote. “I prayed that they will stop but god is bisy and needs your help.”

Now the third-grader’s heart-tugging wish has gone viral, according to a report at ABCNEWS.com.

His mother, Karen, a single mom from Rocky Mount, N.C., shared the letter with a few friends and family members on Facebook. Thousands of shares later, the letter has made news around the globe, and has helped Karen Sufferin get help for her daughter, according to the website.

“Today and yesterday she didn’t wake up begging me to let her stay home, so I guess that’s a good sign,” she told the website.
