Gainesville police are investigating a body found in a vehicle outside a motel Wednesday evening.

The vehicle was parked outside the Budgetel Inn and Suites. Police responded about 12:45 p.m., according to Gainesville Police Cpl. Jessica Van.

The gender, identity and cause of death will be determined by an autopsy, Van told AJC.com.

The investigation is ongoing.
