Police in Polk County are investigating after a body was found in a shallow creek Saturday, Channel 2 Action News reported.

The body of a man was pulled from a creek near Jones Avenue in Rockmart, Assistant Police Chief Jonathan Fuller told the news station.

The man’s race is not clear, but investigators said he has tattoos on his body.

According to a coroner, the man’s body had likely been underwater between two days and two weeks.

Police said they have not seen evidence indicating foul play, but that could change during an investigation.
