An Atlanta woman was killed in South Carolina after a car hit her, according to multiple media reports.

On Monday night, Christina Roberts, 36, died in a hospital from injuries sustained in the incident, the Charleston County Coroner's Office told news station WCSC-TV.

She had been walking on Savannah Highway near Dobbin Road when she was hit. The incident happened in West Ashley, which is a district within Charleston’s city limits.

An investigation is ongoing, but criminal charges have not been filed against the driver, the news station reported.

The 39-year-old victim was shot multiple times in the parking lot of a Citgo station on Moreland Avenue, according to DeKalb police. He was dead when officers arrived just after 1 a.m.
