While the morning drive Monday will be dry, forecasters predict rain for the afternoon rush hour.

“It’s going to be wet as a front makes its way to us this afternoon,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said. “(It) brings us some heavier rains by 4 o’clock. By 6 o’clock, scattered showers throughout the area … could make for slow going.”

Expect temperatures to reach the mid-50s through the morning, climbing to the upper 60s before the day ends.

The rain will usher in lower temperatures over the next few days with highs in the mid-50s Wednesday and lows dipping into the 30s, forecasters predict.

But no more rain is expected, thus far.
