A city of Atlanta employee who helped distribute laptops so that city workers could work from home during the coronavirus pandemic has tested positive for the virus, according to a memo sent to all city employees late Friday evening.

The memo said the employee was helping distribute laptops to the workers in the Department of Aviation from March 18 through March 23.

It urged anyone who is experiencing symptoms of the virus to seek medical help.

On Wednesday, the city sent out another citywide memo saying that an employee who had distributed laptops to the Department of Law was being tested for the virus. A city spokesman didn’t immediately respond to a question about if that employee had also tested positive.

The city last week announced that a worker in City Hall’s lone snack shop had tested positive for the virus.
