For the second time in 18 months, a Paulding County man has been arrested on child molestation charges, the county’s Sheriff’s Office said today.

Dakota James McNeil, 25, of a Dallas address, was arrested May 30 and charged with aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and rape, according to Cpl. Ashley Henson. McNeil was being held without bond at the Paulding County jail.

In October 2012, McNeil was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of aggravated sodomy, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported. At the time of that arrest, investigators said McNeil had allegedly molested two girls, including one for eight years, police previously said. He has not been tried in that case.

After news of that arrest, another victim came forward to police, Henson said today. Additional charges were filed against McNeil after the subsequent investigation.

Investigators believe McNeil may have molested other victims, Henson said. Anyone with information about McNeil or similar activity is asked to contact police at 770-445-6105.
