GBI officials have arrested a man accused of strangling a prominent community leader in Eatonton and drowning her in a bathtub.

Frank Don Causey, 26, of Memphis, Tenn., was charged with murder Tuesday after police say he killed Lydia Huggins Ivanditti at her home Dec. 2.

According to the GBI, Causey was an acquaintance of Ivanditti, 63, and had been living in Eatonton on and off for years.

A previous director of the Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton, Ivanditti was found dead inside her home by a family member. She had lived there alone for years, according to Channel 2 Action News.

No other details were released.
