A man was killed Friday afternoon in a cement truck accident in northwest Atlanta, authorities said.

The initial investigation indicates the man might have made contact with electrical wires as he was working in the 2000 block of Bolton Road, Atlanta police spokesman Sgt. John Chafee said. The contact appears to have killed him and caught the truck on fire. The fire was put out.

Atlanta Fire Rescue is also on the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
