Two women were killed and a man was injured Wednesday afternoon during a shooting in Hall County, authorities said.

The deadly incident occurred at a home along Broome Road in the eastern part of the county, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet. No additional details have been released, but authorities said they are not searching for any suspects.

“We can say the incident was confined to the residence,” sheriff’s office spokesman Derreck Booth said in an email. “As far as how it played out, that’s still under investigation.”

There was a large police presence outside the home Wednesday evening as detectives collected evidence from the scene.

The names of the women killed are being withheld until their families have been notified, investigators said. The injured man was taken to a hospital, but the extent of his injuries are unclear.

The sheriff’s office has not said what prompted the shooting, who fired the shots or how the three people knew each other. Additional details will likely be released Thursday, authorities said.
