A 15-year-old was injured Thursday afternoon when a fight with another youth erupted in gunfire in a southwest Atlanta neighborhood, police said.

Officers were called to the scene near Delowe Drive and Alison Court about 3 p.m. and found the teenager with a gunshot wound, authorities said. He was conscious and taken to the hospital. His condition has not been released.

“Preliminary investigation indicates the shooting occurred during a dispute between the victim and another juvenile male,” Atlanta police said in a news release.

It’s unclear if anyone has been charged, and investigators are still working to determine what led to the shooting.
