Big and small, most animals pee in about 20 seconds

Elephant or kitty cat or any of 32 different animals tested in a recent study, each animal urinates in about 20 seconds. (Georgia Institute of Technology)

The study revealed that an elephant’s bladders is 3,6000 times larger than a cat’s bladder, but they both relieve themselves in the same time span.

The findings put gravity center-stage and contradict some previous studies concluding that associated urine flow mainly with muscular contraction and pressure on the bladder.

David Hu, the scientist who came up with the study, said it occurred to him while he was changing his baby's diaper. (latimes.com)

What, exactly, is useful about this information?

Hu says information gathered in the study can be applied to human issues with urination.
