State School Superintendent John Barge will be in Gwinnett on Wednesday to recognize four local schools that have been named Georgia Schools of Excellence. The honor goes to elementary, middle and high schools in each of the state’s 14 congressional districts that are either academically superior or demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievement.
