The man found Wednesday near a Johns Creek middle school has been identified as 18-year-old Cody Bohnet of Johns Creek, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said Friday evening.

Bohnet was found in a creek about a quarter mile north of Taylor Road Middle School with his wallet and backpack, Johns Creek police spokesman Doug Nurse told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution earlier this week.

“A couple of people walking their dog about 4:15 p.m. in the woods came across the body in the water (and) notified us,” he said. “We went out there, and we just recovered the body.”

Nurse said Bohnet was found face down in the creek trapped under a log.

“We don’t know how long he’s been there,” he said. “We haven’t had any missing person’s reports.”

The official cause of death has not been determined, an investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said Friday.
