Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville has announced that the centerpiece of its 2019-2020 season will be the musical, “On Your Feet,” the story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan.

A jukebox production with 24 musical numbers, the show features the life and music of the Estefans, who have won 26 Grammies with their salsa-inspired pop music.

The new season comes with a $31 million expansion of the theater complex that will include a new 500-seat theater and an indoor/outdoor cabaret theater.

The new theaters are to be completed by the fall of 2020.

 "Children of Eden," July 18 through August 25

This Old Testament musical features music from Stephen Schwartz , the author of “Wicked,” “Godspell” and “Pippin”

"The Roommate," Sept.  19 though Oct. 20

When Sharon gets a new roommate things spiral out of control like a cross between “Thelma and Louise” and “Breaking Bad.”

"Christmas Canteen 2019," Nov. 14 through Dec. 23

Gwinnett’s longest-running theatrical holiday tradition returns for a 24th year.

"The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," Jan. 9 - Feb. 9, 2020

Winner of seven Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards, this  co-production between Aurora Theatre and Horizon Theatre examines the world of autistic teenager Christopher John Francis Boone.

"On Your Feet," March 5 – April 12, 2020

The story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan, told in 24 musical numbers.

"Erma Bombeck: At Wit's End," May 7 – June 7, 2020

"If life is a bowl of cherries, what am I doing in the pits?" is one of the many musings from humorist Erma Bombeck. Lane Carlock brings Bombeck’s writings to life in a one-woman show that returns to the Aurora due to popular demand.
