A powerful storm system brought severe weather to several Georgia counties Sunday afternoon, downing some trees and leaving thousands without power. At least one injury was reported due to the storm.

Tornado warnings were posted in several of those counties for a few hours, but were canceled later in the evening. Heavy rains and gusty winds were being reported in several counties.

Upson County officials reported that at least one home was leveled off Delray Road. Three other homes were badly damaged. Several trees and power lines are also down across the county, according to Channel 2.

More than 14,000 people were without power statewide around 6 p.m. Sunday, according to Georgia Power. That included 3,500 in Henry County; 1000 in Bartow County and about 300 people in Fulton county. Check the Georgia Power outage map here.

Sunday evening, the EMA director sent a tweet reporting a possible injury in the county, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Jasper County dispatch says they received reports of wind damage and trees down across parts of the county.
