Atlanta police arrested two fugitives, in unrelated cases, Wednesday morning.

Derrico Thomas, 30, was arrested on a murder warrant in connection with an Aug. 29 shooting in southwest Atlanta, according to police.

The shooting happened just before midnight at the Brentwood Village apartments in the 1900 block of Alison Court. Orlando Young of Atlanta, who had been shot multiple times, was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.

Police also arrested Christopher Wise, 32, in connection with a Nov. 6 shooting in northwest Atlanta, authorities said.

Wise was picked up on a homicide warrant related to the death of Dan Wang, who was shot multiple times in the 1400 block of Lavender Drive.

A preliminary investigation into the incident led officers to believe Wang, who was pronounced dead at the scene, had been in a physical altercation with his assailant before the shooting.

Thomas and Wise were interviewed by police before being taken to the Fulton County Jail.
