President Joe Biden recently interacted with small business owners in Atlanta to understand how his administration can help more people during the coronavirus pandemic.

On Saturday morning, Biden posted on Twitter that he held a call with the owners of NaanStop, an Indian restaurant with locations in Buckhead, downtown Atlanta and Atlantic Station. Biden tweeted a video that shows Samir and Neal Idnani reflecting on their business and how the pandemic has affected them.

“As small business owners during the pandemic, every day is an open question,” Samir Idnani said. “Our business has been down 75% almost overnight.”

Many small businesses around the country have been hit hard by the pandemic, Biden said. Neal Idnani told Biden — who is pushing an “American Rescue Plan” to help businesses like theirs — that the greatest need right now is for everybody to be vaccinated.

“I put together a rescue plan that provides tens of billions of dollars in grants to small businesses. We have to invest more, not less,” Biden said. “We got to give you a chance to rebuild that’s separate and apart from dealing with the virus.”

The discussion was part of “A Weekly Conversation,” Biden’s revamping of the weekly presidential address in which he interacts with Americans instead and shares the video with the public.

The video ends with the Idnani brothers accepting Biden’s request to visit NaanStop whenever he’s in town.
