A shower between two 16-year-old Athens teens turned into an arrest for the girl's stepfather for allegedly assaulting the boy.

Clinton Antonio Ward, 49, was arrested on charges of first- and third-degree cruelty to children for the assault, in connection with the post-shower incident, according to police.

Ward was not home when the teens went into the shower, but he was there when they got out, he told police. According to police, Ward confronted the two as they came out of the bathroom, and repeatedly punched the boy.

When the boy went home, presumably bruised, his mother called police and wanted to press charges against Ward.
