Drugs, weapons and counterfeit money were confiscated from a home in Powder Springs during a raid where eight people were arrested Thursday.

Everyone arrested in the raid, which happened in the 3600 block of Forest Hill Road, are facing a variety of charges in connection with drug possession or distribution, according to warrants obtained from the Cobb County Magistrate. Four also face charges of reckless conduct because drugs and drug paraphernalia could be easily reached by children who were in the house.

Jennifer Brook and Ashley Christopher Caudle were arrested on similar charges of possession of methamphetamine and reckless conduct. Authorities seized more than three grams of methamphetamine from their bedroom. Caudle’s warrant also includes a charge relating to the possession of a firearm by a felon. According to the warrant, Caudle was convicted on drug-related charges in 2005.

Also arrested were Jennifer Jostmeyer and Brian Benedik, who face several drug-related charges, including the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of a dangerous drug and forgery. The forgery is in connection with $200 worth of fake currency taken from a safe in their bedroom, according to their arrest warrants. Officials seized more than 10 grams of meth, in solid and liquid form, from their room. Benedik’s warrant also includes a charge relating to attempting to sell more than 18 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover officer.

Jesse Donald Bailey, who was convicted on weapons-related charges in 2004, was arrested in connection with two weapons in his possession and for possession of 4 grams of methamphetamine. Jason Bailey, who was convicted of burglary in 1996, was arrested on a weapons-related charge and for possessing less than an ounce of marijuana.

David Jeremy Morris was arrested on charges of possessing Xanax bars and Joyce Hawkins was arrested on charges of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana.

All eight defendants are being held at the Cobb County jail.

Jesse Bailey, Morris and Caudle are being held without bond.
