A Florida man has been charged with allegedly molesting a 13-year-old girl from Peachtree City, police said.

Peachtree City police learned Sunday of a possible child molestation incident and determined that the suspect, 30-year-old Joseph Lundstrom, had reached out to the girl via social media.

Lundstrom “was well aware that the victim was only 13 years of age,” police spokesman Lt. Mark Brown said.

Brown said the communication between Lundstrom and the teen were sexual in nature.

He traveled from Middleburg, Fla., to to Peachtree City, police said.

At least twice over the weekend, Lundstrom allegedly initiated sexual contact with the teen, police said.

Investigators working the case pretended to be the teen and contacted Lundstrom to arrange a third meeting.

Police arrested him at that meeting, Brown said.

Lundstrom has been charged with multiple counts of child molestation, two counts of sexual battery, enticing a child for indecent purposes, furnishing obscene materials to a child, computer exploitation of a child, open container alcohol, loitering and prowling and driving while license is suspended, police said.

He is being held at the Fayette County jail, according to jail records.

The investigation continues.
