A suspect in an Atlanta fatal shooting was arrested Friday in Brooklyn, NY, U.S. Marshals said.

Quantravious Holmes, 23, was wanted in connection with the shooting death of Todd Burkes, 28, of Jonesboro, authorities said.

Shortly after 4 a.m. Oct. 22, authorities found Burkes’ body on Spring Street near downtown Atlanta, police said.

Police later circulated video footage of a man they considered a person of interest inside a convenience store shown hours before the shooting.

Atlanta police detectives and U.S. Marshals in Atlanta tracked Holmes to New York City, authorities said.

Early Friday morning, U.S. Marshals with the agency’s fugitive task force in New York raided the home of a known gang member, found Holmes and took him into custody without incident.

Holmes is being charged with murder.
