Atlanta police gave the all clear Friday afternoon after checking out Washington High School after a bomb threat was sent to the school via text late Friday morning.

The message came from a parent’s cellphone and authorities were made aware of the threat just before 11:15 a.m., Officer Kim Jones with Atlanta police said.

The school, located on Whitehorse Drive at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, was evacuated and the students were transferred to Best Academy.

Students were allowed to return to the school after a search, which included bomb-sniffing dogs, was concluded and no device was found, Jones said. The all clear was given at 1:35 p.m.

No arrest have been made in the incident.
