Thanksgiving is a big day for newspapers, sort of like the industry's own version of "Super Bowl Sunday," if you will.

Every November, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution prints the largest paper of the year — stuffed with deals to help jump start your holiday shopping.

This year is no exception. The 2019 Thanksgiving Day AJC will have hundreds of deals from top retailers across the metro area.

Thursday’s paper will include 37 inserts and will on average weigh more than four pounds.

The AJC’s publishing plant in Gwinnett has processed more than 11.7 million sales fliers and circulars  to be sent out to readers.

Subscribers will of course get the paper delivered per usual, but you can also pick up a paper (or an extra) for $3 at participating Kroger, RaceTrac and QT locations throughout metro Atlanta — plus other local drug and convenience stores.

The special edition will also be a bonus day for Sunday subscribers, so if you usually get the paper on Sundays, you can expect an AJC at your home on Thursday as well.

An early edition will be available on Wednesday at noon at participating locations, including some Publix locations.
