“I hadn’t planned on staying there long,” Tan Shen admitted.

However, Fox News reports Shen decided to extend her stay.

Shen told Metro UK, "once I got in there and started eating I decided I needed time to think."

And she realized there was another reason she set up camp.

“I didn’t want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him,” she admitted, “So I stayed.”

Tan called in sick at work, and made herself at home. Workers didn’t hassle Shen because she wasn’t disruptive and continued paying for her meals.

After seven days of the 11 herbs and spices, reporters began to show up and Shen decided to head to her parent's house for the rest of her post-boyfriend recovery.
