A man accused of shooting another man in the head and killing him in a Cobb County apartment six weeks ago was arrested this week, according to police.

Sony Lebrun, 35, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Atlanta airport, jail records show. No information was released on where Lebrun may have been headed. But he was booked into the Cobb jail on murder and aggravated assault charges, records show.

On Aug. 6, Lebrun allegedly shot 23-year-old Eric Stone at the Premier Apartments near Austell, his arrest warrant states. Stone died from his injuries after being shot in the head, according to police.

An arrest warrant was issued Aug. 12 for Lebrun charging him with murder. But Lebrun, who is listed as homeless in booking records, was on the run until this week.

He was being held without bond Friday at the Cobb jail.
