Marietta police have identified four additional suspects in connection with the stabbing death of a man in a bus station parking lot.

Four teenagers are now charged with the robbery that led to retaliation and the death of 18-year-old Marquise Carruthers, of Marietta, according to Officer David Baldwin.

Around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 28, officers were called to a grassy area near the Cobb Community Transit terminal on South Marietta Parkway, where they found Carruthers suffering from a single knife wound to the chest, Baldwin said. Carruthers was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died.

The following day, two teenagers, Josue Chapa, 14, and Brandon Betancourt, 16, both of Marietta, were arrested and charged with murder. Both were charged as adults.

Demetres Plasencio and Jordan Billinsly, both 18, and a 16-year-old male juvenile have all been arrested and charged with robbery, Baldwin said. A fourth suspect, Samario Koger, 19, remains at large, but also will be charged with robbery, police said.

Anyone with information on Koger’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the Marietta police anonymous tip line at 770-794-6990.
